Shishir:
A coupled electrostatic simulation for DC biased voltage and an applied AC voltage is a prestressed harmonic simulation. To perform this type of simulation, you need to use the directly coupled field approach with the directly coupled electromechanical transducer elements (TRANS109 and TRANS126). The ESSOLV macro and multifield solver use the sequential coupled field approach with single field elements. The sequential coupled field approach is not applicable to prestressed harmonic simulations.
TRANS109 is only applicable to 2D models. TRANS126 is applicable to 1D, 2D, and 3D models. TRANS126 is generally used for this type of analysis.
Essentially you need to perform a static analysis with prestressing active (PSTRES) and the applied DC voltage. Then you need to run an harmonic analysis with prestressing active and the applied AC voltage. The electromechanical transducer elements are described in the "Coupled-Field Analysis Guide". The approach for performing prestressed harmonic simulations is described in the "Structural Analysis Guide".

Subject: [mems-modsim] ANSYS Electrostatic-Structural Coupled Analysis
Dear All,
Hello.
I am using ANSYS 8.0 Multiphysics for simulation of
Electrostatic-Structural Coupling. I have been fairly
good to carry out static/quasistatic simulation for
finding out displacements and deformations
and other effects at DC Voltage, using TRANS126,
Multifield or ESSOLV solver
May i please know that how can i do dynamic coupled
simulation for DC
(Vo)biased AC voltage(VoSin(wt)) , e.g, Vo+VoSin(wt)
to see the excited
response of the structure.
May i please request you to kindly suggest or forward
an application note
if u have come across, any.
