Marco,
The constraints you mentioned may limit you when simulating transient
effects. As an example, we have simulated the ultrasound wave propagation,
and this required of about 1M nodes. However, 50K can be sufficient for
simple simulations of static effects.
Regards
Darius

Subject: [mems-talk] ansys multiphysics
Dear members,
I work in a government research facility in Brazil and am on the verge
of acquiring the Ansys Multiphysics software package. Due to budgetary
conditions we can afford an option that restricts usage from 50K nodes
for structural, thermal and acoustic simulation to 128K nodes for CFD
simulation. Can someone inform me if this configuration is enough for
MEMS and microfluidics applications?
