[mems-talk] Gold melt cleaning/storage protocol?

The most stringent protocol I've seen is to store the gold melt in a glass 
container (with glass lid) and handle it only with clean tweezers. I've 
seen others store in glass, though. Never seen one cleaned, other than 
ebeaming the hell out of it before opening the shutter. 

If your melt fell in a pool of dirty water (or whatever), I would suggest 
putting it in a vacuum oven first, followed by an oxygen plasma ash, then 
the aforementioned ebeam cooking.

But, really: hands off is the way to go.

What is correct protocol for cleaning a gold melt (for ebeam) when not in

Some of the suggestions that I have heard are:
(a) Immerse the melt in IPA when not in use
(b) No need to immerse it, but clean it using a fabwipe & IPA before use
(c) Hands off the melt. No need to clean it.

All comments & suggestions are welcome.
