Dear members To thsoe who are involved in silicon accelerometers, I would like to ask questions. Silicon accelerometers are usually soldered on the PC-board. Once it is soldered, it is impossibel to remove. 1) what sort of connecting method is used for the calibration or characterization ? 2) Can you clearly define the difference between soldering and other connection method ? 3) In the papers presented at conferences, such as transducers etc, people present results of calculation, modeling, experiment of seismic systems made of silicon only. However, they are installed in the packaging and fixed by some method. Is the dynamic response calcuation carried out under the consideration on the casing dynamic, connetinig method and the transfer response ? 4) How do they guarantee the qualities ? what sort of testing is used and how is effectiveness is verified ? 5) what is the standard in the production of silicon accelerometers ? There is no reference silicon accelerometers like conventional accelerometers ? 6) In the application to air bag inflation control, transmission of deformation of passenger room and the car body is the first thing to be detected. What sort of logic is the most reasonable one for the control. This might request the accurate estimation on the transmission process of impact to detecting accelerometers. It this reasonably done in the real development situations ? As a scientist working at metrology laboratory, I am looking forward to the response.
