A number of people ask me to post the results of my quest for various
plating solutions.  Well, here it is:

1) General Info on Plating Solutions

    A very good source of every kind of information on plating you
    would ever want, including the sci.electrochem. FAQ

2) General Plating Suppliers

a) Entone-OMI   has all kindsof plating solutions including permalloy
(the sales guys know it as Nickel-Iron Alloy). They have a web page.
They also have sales offices everywhere.

c) Plus lots of other smaller companies

The only problem with these suppliers or any other gneral
electroplating solution suppliers is that their smallest container is
a 50 gallon pail.

3) Permalloy

I received a nice paper from Jong-Uk Bu of LG Electronics Research
(Korea). It contains the details on deposting permalloy. His e-mail
address is jbu@lgerc.goldstar.co.kr

4) Nickel
    The nickel solutions that people seem to use are the ones that
you can find in any textbook or handbook on electroplating.
