According to D.E. Aspenes, in Properties of Crystalline Silicon, p. 683, for intrinsic silicon at 1.55 um (0.80 eV), alpha = 0.000 cm-1. That's zero absorption, to several figures, at that wavelength. The table lists non-zero absorption below 0.20 eV and above 1.00 eV. --Kirt Williams ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sachin Tyagi"To: Sent: Tuesday, June 22, 2004 11:57 AM Subject: [mems-talk] optical properties of silicon > > hi > i am looking for the value of absorption coefficient of silicon at 1.55 > microne,so if any body can help me,i will be very thank full to him, > > thanks to all > wating for postive reply from any one > > > sachin tyagi > indian institute of technology > madras(chennai),india > > > _______________________________________________ > MEMS-talk@memsnet.org mailing list: to unsubscribe or change your list > options, visit http://mail.mems-exchange.org/mailman/listinfo/mems-talk > Hosted by the MEMS Exchange, providers of MEMS processing services. > Visit us at http://www.memsnet.org/
