Vikas, Please see table 12.3 Element Compatibilty in ANSYS documentation. When you are using two elements with VOLT degree of freedom, they must have same reaction force. I have a metal and PZT 52/48 glued together. I have used SOLID98 for both the layers. When I try to solve i get the following error: There are piezoelectric elements (PLANE13,SOLID5 or SOLID98) and electric current conduction elements in the model. They both use VOLT degrees of freedom but the respective formulations are NOT compatible. This analysis is not valid. PLease HELP!!!
