Dear MEMS colleague, I want to inject controlled pore glass beads (beads diameter: 37-74um, pore size 500A) coated with enzyme into microfludic chamber for biosensing. I used syringe to inject the glass beads. However, only very few glass beads traveled to the mcirofludic chamber. Most of the beads were stuck at the entrance of the syringe needle. Others were precipitated in the guiding tubing. I'm wondering if there are any special syringe which can inject dense glass beads. Or are there any other more effective ways to transport glass beads? Thanks in advance. Li Wang Ph.D. student Mechanical Engineering Department Carnegie Mellon University
