I am interested in melting a thin layer of gold into the surface layers of a soda-lime glass substrate. I have deposited the gold layer onto the glass but can anyone send me information on what temperature to heat the sample to and for how long. Also should it be done in any particular environment (nitrogen, inert etc.). Any information on this would be very useful. I would also be interested in any information on glass to glass bonding via a gold interlayer. Regards, Richard ...................................................
