I've used the BDT and have been generally happy with it, up to thicknesses of about 2.5 microns. Use the make-up solution to start with. Take the time to read the data sheets about maintaining the solution, otherwise you'll end up with rough looking plating after a while. We also found that you can substantially back off of the suggested current (by a factor of 2 to 10) and get smooth results. It's nice in that it's non-cyanide based, and it doesn't attack photoresist. How is it? There are several types such as make-up, replenisher and simple gold solutions, which one should I use?
