Andrea =20 I can almost guarantee you that you don't need or don't want 2mm thick = diamond for any real world application. The cost will be prohibitive and = there are other ways of getting the desired effect of diamond. If you = just need hardness, or hardness and smoothness then consider = polycrystalline thick film diamond (I assume you've considered other = materials almost as hard?). If you need diamond and need it 2mm thick = for mounting, try a piece 0.5mm thick or less and attach it to = something, perhaps braze it to a metal backplate and bring your cost = down. And secondly, if you can bring the 70mm dimension down as well = your cost gets a lot lower as well.=20 =20 Just do a search for thick film polycrystalline diamond manufacturer and = you should find someone. If you don't have any luck call me at = 514-938-8089 ext 233 and I'll give you a place to start. =20 Rick Williston Microbridge Technologies >Sorry for the mistake, i'm looking for diamond, not germanium >Andrea
