I would like to locate software for interpreting or parsing CIF format files. I am also interested in a "flattener" for CIF (i.e., software to remove the heirarchical structure from a CIF file, and turn it into a "flat" non-heirarchical description of mask-layout geometry). If anyone knows of software for CIF, please let me know. We are working on incorporating translators from many common mask-layout file formats into our 3-D MEMS etch simulations, and wish to avoid having to create our own interpreter for CIF, if possible. Information on our simulations is available at: http://red.caltech.edu/Research /MEMS. -erik Erik K. Antonsson, Ph.D., P.E.
