I understand that many people in MEMS consider this old, given-up
technology. I wanted to know more about a DIY voice coil actuator. It is for
an inexpensive student project. I wanted to use raw materials including
Piezo-electric horns, Electro-static speakers, Ribbon speakers or
Electrodynamic voice coil based speakers using a continuous cleaned DC.
I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about hysterisis parameters and
excursion details of different voice coils and any preffered materials over
others.
