Hi Naresh, I havent used much L-edit, but this is one way to convert file types. Link-CAD http://www.bay-technology.com/linkcad.htm can convert from Ledit to dxf. Then, www.rhino3d.com (and others) can convert from dxf to IGES. 2-D to 3D conversion: it depends how ansys treats the entities in the converted iges file. I remember drawing in ProE and importing the file in ansys and meshing. It was a mess, because ansys had trouble identifying the nodes/elements. I would say write a text-script file in ansys, import the 2D model (iges), and extrude/modify the 2D model to 3D. Does this make sense?
