The voting process to create sci.engr.micromachining has begun. There are three ways that people can vote that I will outline below. Unfortunately, due to the strict process, I can't just post an address here for you to vote yes or no to. When you mail in your vote, through your news, email or web browser software, you should receive confirmation of your vote emailed to you within two or three days. The cutoff date for voting is September 4th, but please try to vote before August 31st. If there are any complications or questions, please don't hesitate to email me (craum@robinhood.engg.uregina.ca) for clarification. Finally, your participation counts. If you know of any colleagues, students or associates that would be interested in this group (either for its creation or not [have to be fair]), make sure they know of the vote and how to participate. 1) Point your Usenet news browser to news.announce.newgroups and read the message "CFV: sci.engr.micromachining", particularly the "How To Vote" section. Use your news browser to mail a reply to that post or using the email address listed, manually send your vote with your email software. The message you send to the address that has the vote taking software will be looking for either the words: I vote YES on sci.engr.micromachining I vote NO on sci.engr.micromachining ABSTAIN or CANCEL 2) Point your web browser to the following ftp URL and download the CFV. Then use your email software to send in your vote to the email address listed in the CFV ftp://ftp.uu.net/usenet/news.announce.newgroups/sci/sci.engr. micromachining 3) Use the news option on your web browser, go to news.announce.newgroups, read "CFV: sci.engr.micromachining", use the mail reply option of your browser, and vote by emailing in your choice. Thanks for your participation, -Chris Proponent: Christopher RaumMentor: Jonathan Grobe Votetaker: Dave Cornejo -- .+'''+. |Christopher Raum - craum@robinhood.engg.uregina.ca| R A U M |Graduate Student, Faculty of Engineering | `+.,.+' |University of Regina, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada| |S4S-0A2 Tel: (306)565-2960 Fax: (306)585-4855 |
