Sunday, July 28th, was the one-year anniversary of the mems-talk mailing list moving from ISI to the MEMS Exchange. I thought a summary of the list's current status might be of interest. * The mailing list currently has just about 2000 subscribers, and the number has grown steadily over the past year. * In the past year, there have been 2989 messages posted to the list, an average of slightly more than 8 messages per day. The archive amounts to 8.6Mb of e-mail headers and text. * More recently, we've created smaller satellite lists. mems-announce is a low-volume moderated list for MEMS-related announcements and is doing reasonably well; mems-business is an unmoderated list for business-related discussion that's been almost completely silent so far. To join either of these lists, please go to http://mail.mems-exchange.org/mailman/listinfo/ * The list has attracted a core group of around 10 or 20 regular posters; we'd like to thank these regular posters for providing many of the answers that make the mems-talk list a valuable resource. We at the MEMS Exchange look forward to continuing to host the mems-talk list for many years to come. -- A.M. Kuchling akuchlin@mems-exchange.org
