rip@cadphoto.com will do mylar photoplots cheaply - the resolution is about 25 microns (1 mil.) Not as cheap as a laser printer, but very high quality. The most cost effective way is to put many plots on a single drawing, plot out a big drawing, and cut it up. The only problem is that you need to send them files in gerber format. They do conversions from dxf, but that costs $125. There are several software programs that will convert from dxf to gerber. I haven't found a free one yet. However, at http://www.innoveda.com/default.asp you can download a demo version of CAM350, which will allow you to do conversions from dxf to gbr - the demo version limits the size and complexity of the mask. There may be other options for conversion out there. (If anyone knows of an open source file or software library that does these conversions, I'd love to hear about it!) Good luck! (i aim at a factor of 2 to 4 in structure size) does anybody know a place where you can buy such really cheap masks with even better resolution ? thanks already, mike _______________________________________________ MEMS-talk@memsnet.org mailing list: to unsubscribe or change your list options, visit http://mail.mems-exchange.org/mailman/listinfo/mems-talk Hosted by the MEMS Exchange, providers of MEMS processing services.
