Hello.  I am working with a research group at Monash University in
Melbourne Australia.  We are developing optical fibre sensors, and are
interested in being able to recoat polyimide coated fibres with polyimide
after fusion splicing them.  I saw a message to you from Kevin Walsh in
September 1995 relating to suppliers of polyimide adhesives/solutions.
Did you manage to obtain materials from the companys mentioned, and if
so, do you think they would be suitable to apply to the surface of an
optical fibre?  Any information you could provide would be greatly
appreciated.
