Sounds pretty reasonable to me -- I'm pretty sure that the docs claim
PTL is optional, which I guess isn't quite true if you want to use the
form framework.

Jim, I suspect this suggestion will be much more likely to result in
action if you do the monkey-work of preparing a patch.
