Python is version 2.2.1 on Linux

The revision in quixote's __init__.py is __revision__ = "$Id:
__init__.py 20965 2003-03-05 18:40:37Z akuchlin $"

I untarred it and simply ran "python setup.py install" without
options. I suppose this should use the C version of htmltext.

There may have been an older version installed from before... will
cleanup and reinstall to make sure that isn't a problem.

One possible issue is that I ran setup.py with insufficient
priviledges first and then reran with "sudo". Could that have messed
up anything?

I simply run the demo as cgi script:
http://littlebud/cgi-bin/demo.cgi/form_demo

The forms_demo page is attached. Everythin up to and including the

element is ok, then things get quoted... I'll try to reinstall on my side. Anything I can try to help resolve the issue? many thanks --bud
