Curious.  I occasionally get PTL-related tracebacks about "Bad marshal
data" which I have also never seriously investigated.  Usually blowing
away all *.pyc and *.ptlc files "fixes" the problem.  I keep meaning to
bug Neil about it ...  ;-)

Sounds like the PTL needs a good thorough test script.
