This past weekend, Slashdot had a story about some people who did a CSS/XHTML redesign of the Slashdot page design. One interesting comment in the discussion was from someone complaining that Slashcode is no longer really being maintained; if you look at www.slashcode.com, the most recent news item was posted August 30th, and the last release dates from that month. It never struck me that replacing Slashcode might be practical for Quixote; the project gets a lot of mileage from its association with a very popular site. But there doesn't seem to be much competition -- Squishdot for Zope has been comatose for even longer, and there are lots of PHP competitors. Maybe writing a Quixote discussion board would be worthwhile now. --amk
