After a very brief time doing development against a persistent-mode
implementation, I came to the conclusion that plain old CGI is the one
obvious way to do Quixote development.  Sure, it's slower to run, but
it just naturally handles all those quick one line what-was-I-thinking
fixes.

Obviously this doesn't apply if what you're working on at the moment is
the interaction of Quixote and the persistence environment you want to
use for production, but the rest of the time...
