On the topic of .ptlc files, I have a question I've been meaning to ask.
Anybody know why importing my quixote application would create the usual
.pyc files, but no .ptlc files?  On one system (RH 7.1, Python 2.1.2) it
works, on the other (Debian unstable, Python 2.1.2 then 2.1.3), it
doesn't.  Since the Debian box is where I do my development, I'm starting
to get a little bit grumpy about the slow imports...
