For several days I have been rummaging through my Quixote application's code changing it to use Unicode instead of strings for all text production (I do not use PTL), then encoding it as utf-8 and calling set_content_type() just before it is handed over to request.response. Part of the app is already running in Babelfish-flavored Chinese. I was expecting to start running into places (esp. forms) where Quixote would have to be hacked or bypassed, but now I will immediately start using qx 2.0.
