If I run my copy of demo_scgi.py, to which I add something like:

import os
print os.path.abspath(os.path.curdir)

at the end of the file, nothing is printed in the terminal
where i run the script. If I move the above 2 lines to the top
of the script, the full curdir is printed correctly in the same
terminal.
The script has the read_conf line commented out.
Where is stdout being changed, and what to?
