we are using it, initially only because the first box the system was
developed in had Twisted already installed for other reasons, and i didn't
bother to configure Apache. has served fine when deploying to other
machines (easy to install, no/minimal configuration needed)

i recall no jumping, just used the publisher that came with it .. oh
except that did tweak it a little to get to use sessions

also for that very lightweight and little loaded service, the blocking
single-process mode is fine (db use was easy to do as no locking is
needed) -- that is, if i've understood correctly, there are no parallel
threads (like sometimes with apache, dunno how it goes with scgi etc.
really)) launched, but just a single long-lived process that handles every
request one by one (it's so fast (all data in memory, in dictionaries)
that should be fine with at least tens per second, depending what they do
of course)

off for holidays now, dunno if this reply was of any use but i guess you
can at least count +1 user
