For a new app you may be better off to go with the 2,0 alpha straight
away... the architecture and interface are cleaner, and it will not be
alpha for too long, or so I would like to think ;). You will have the
inconvenience that many of the docs are still for the 1.2 version,
however, for quickly getting going you can use the simple server that
comes with it, and dealing with apache setup when you need to... and it
comes with a very simple mini demo to ease the start.
