Just a suggestion:-

In config.py there is space for :

SESSION_COOKIE_NAME
SESSION_COOKIE_DOMAIN
SESSION_COOKIE_PATH

Would it be possible to also have, say:

SESSION_COOKIE_SECURE

along with the appropriate code for setting the secure flag?
