I have put the css and images for my projects in directories off of /html (and therefore don't refer to them in the .conf file), primarily because I'm not sure how Apache would distinguish between a call to ..../qxnews/someRoutineInQuixote and ..../qxnews/css I wouldn't be able to do so, without examining the code in my Quixote routines.
