Well, I got that working easily and performance may have gone up a
tad (~5-7%). I hard coded the path to the socket, but ideally you
want that as a config option.

However, the newest lighttpd (1.3.14) now supports SCGI and it can
connect to the scgi app over a unix domain socket out of the box.
