Hi! I use a init script (service/daemon) under Debian GNU/Linux. This script sets environment variables and call to scgi_server.py script. I handle my script with start/stop arguments like others daemons under /etc/init.d/ directory. In one machine I use Apache with GNU/Linux Debian and lighttdp with FreeBSD in others but I use a service/daemon in both platforms.
