My name is "Jesús" :-). The current webpage is
 . My new
email is jcea@jcea.es .

The project is alive and well, and the backend is compatible with
current Durus 3.9, even if that is not documented in the webpage.

I use the project everyday with great success. I have tons of ideas for
new versions, but little feedback from external users, so I keep most
new features private. If there is low demand, I rather prefer to skip
the work of doing real releases. Sniff.

Current "private" versions have support for replication, distributed
transactions, overlay databases (read_only database overlayed by
another smaller read/write) and more. These developments were "paid" and
I can not publish them "as-is". But if there are "demand", I could
"reimplement" them as GPL.

That said, I would love to have demand :-). And as current pybsddb
(Berkeley DB python bindings), there are quite a few "sinergies" possible.
