Hot sulfuric acid will remove oxide coatings from molybdenum. Transene
Company offers a 75% sulfuric acid solution suitable for this. Please
contact me at 978 777 7860 or Christopher@transene.com if you would like
more information.

Subject: [mems-talk] removal of Mo oxidation

hi all:

I'm using Mo electrodes in a resistive heating process - pushing up to
75 A
of current through the electrodes. The electrodes are charring - can
anyone
recommend a suitable cleaning/etching process to remove the oxide from
Moly?
