Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with a dielectric coating material named "KYNAR" from Atochem. I have tried numerous times to contact Atochem about purchasing this item but so far all my efforts have been in vain. So I was just hoping that some of you could kindly provide me with a little bit more information about its application and how I might me able to purchase some. Just to let you know what we have been working on, we are actuating deionized water finger using high frequency DEP in a transport based microfluidics scheme. In order to avoid boiling and electrolysis as well as to promote hydrophobicity of the surface, we apply a thin coating of dielectric material(s) with high dielectric constant. This is very critical when we are experimenting with conductive liquids, hence my efforts involve exploring the option of using KYNAR. This material is supposed to have a dielectric constant of 8-9! Any help toward getting some info on this would be much appreciated. ******************************************************************************* Rajib Ahmed 347 Hopeman Engineering Building Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering University of Rochester Rochester, NY 14627-0167 Email:rajib@ece.rochester.edu Phone#:(585)275-8093 Fax#:(585)273-4919 *******************************************************************************
