If you want to find out if the concept has been patented, you might check out
the free searching on the IBM patent server site:
http://patent.womplex.ibm.com/ibm.html.  Also, you can enlist the help of a
patent searcher for $700 to $1000 (give or take a few hundred).  To make sure
you have protection for your idea, you should probably talk to an attorney.
