Dear Colleagues, I seeking suggestions on suitable methods/devices of gas/liquid separation used in the feed streams of microfluidic devices. I am having problems with gas bubbles entering into my microfluidic devices that contain many channels. The bubbles block the normal liquid flows in some of the channels. My liquid manifold, which feeds my microfluidic devices, is a commercial one and it inherently generate gas bubbles in the feed stream. I am seeking a gas/liquid separation device to insert between the liquid manifold and my microfluidic device so that I can remove the gas bubbles from the feed stream. I am using multiple types of fluids at low-volume flow conditions and I need to avoid the intermixing among them. Therefore, the volume of the gas/liquid separation device must be small, preferably smaller than 0.1 milliliter. In addition, the material of the device needs to be organic solvent and acid resistant. I would appreciate to hear any suggestions on the availability of such a gas/liquid separation device or how such a device can be made. Thanks you, X.
