I recently acquired a small (206 gram) portable internet tablet, the Nokia N800. It runs a customized distribution of Debian on a rather puny TI 320 MHz Armel architecture chip. Once nice thing about Nokia is they actively support Python on their Symbian-based phones and that tradition has carried on to their Linux-powered devices. I present to you the worlds smallest QP application "server" (as in box): http://mikewatkins.ca/2007/11/27/nokia-n800-runs-qp/ Even runs fairly quick, for what it is. I've some proof of concept pygtk applications in mind to write (pygtk is a common toolset used by many N-series applications it seems) as I brain storm what a world full of such devices might look like in the future, but in the here and now, as now I have QP and Durus in my pocket at all times, I'm certain to avoid the GTK learning curve for as long as I am able. mw -- http://mikewatkins.ca/tags/python/feeds/atom
